Stay Connected With VPKids Today!

By: Makayla Holbrook | Director of VPKids

We are praying that you and your family are doing well as we all navigate this unique season of life. As most of you are probably aware, we will be continuing social distancing until April 30th and we will continue to operate digitally during that time. With the reality that we will be asked to limit our gatherings beyond April – we are actively seeking ways to STAY CONNECTED as a church family. Please keep the leadership of VantagePoint Church in your prayers as we strive to continue to serve you and our community well.

Easter Family Devotions: A 14 Day Journey Through The Life Of Jesus – available here!

This 14 day devotional was intended to begin on March 30th but can be done ANY 14 days of the year. If you’re getting a late start, that’s OK too! It dives deep into Jesus’ life, His miracles, His words, His love, His life, and His death. Then celebrates the most amazing event ever – His resurrection – something we can certainly reflect on all year long!!

VPKids AT HOME

Each day a family from our church will be sharing a helpful tip or activity they are doing at home with their kids. We know that this season of social distancing and extended time at home can bring on unique challenges for many families. We are looking at an extended period of virtual learning, different work schedules, social distancing, cancelled events, and working from home, while also caring for and entertaining children, etc. We could probably all use a little extra online community, additional resources, support, and encouragement. (You can find a collection of these activities in our Instagram highlights and on Facebook in the “VPKids AT HOME Activities” album – @vantagepointchurchkids)

In addition to these activities, our VPKids team will be encouraging “Family Fridays” by providing fun family friendly activities for your family to participate in each week! Creating weekly rhythms in our routine and giving our children something to look forward to is a great way to cure those quarantine blues.

NEW – Starting Tuesday, April 14th – VPKids: Virtual Small Groups

Our VPKids team members have expressed how much they miss seeing the kids! With the recent news that our kids’ classroom experience at school this year has been cut short – we want to acknowledge that our kids will be experiencing even MORE change when we return to church. They will likely be moving up to the next classroom, new teachers, new environment, etc. We are so excited to introduce virtual small groups where we can get together (age appropriate/combo classes), be silly, participate in some fun challenges, and even keep our monthly raffle incentive program going to give our kids a sense of normalcy until we can meet together again.

Note: We do recognize that your children are likely meeting virtually with their teachers/classmates daily, zooming their Taekwondo/dance classes, FaceTiming family and friends to stay in touch, and spending a lot of time in virtual meetings so we want to keep this small group time short and sweet – 20-25 minutes tops. Stay tuned for details! If you are NOT receiving our emails for updates as things change over the coming weeks, please email makayla@vantagepointchurch.org.
