Toddler Check-In

Our toddler area is filled with lots of fun, engaging toys appropriate for this high-energy age group.  Our volunteers will provide a safe and nurturing environment for your little one.

What to bring:
1. A few disposable diapers or pull-ups
2. A bottle or sippy cup of milk, juice or water
3. A pacifier or other security item if needed
4. A change of clothes should your toddler require that
5. A healthy child- If your child has had a fever in the past 24 hours, fresh cold (four days or less), rash, persistent cough, diarrhea, vomiting, or any other signs of illness, please do not leave them in the nursery.

When you check in:

The children’s ministry area for infants through Kindergarten is located in the gym right next to the multi-purpose room where the worship service is held.  Go to the table directly in front of the Toddler area.  A volunteer will greet you and help you with checking in your child.  Your child will receive a name tag and his diaper bag and bottle  or sippy cup will also be labeled.  Please alert the nursery staff if your child has any  special needs.    You will receive a numbered pager which will be used to alert you if you need to return to your child’s classroom.  You will need to present the pager in order to pick up your child.

Leaving your child:

As you know, it is normal for children to begin crying when separated from their parents.  This usually does not last long and gets better over time.  After you’ve checked in your child, simply wave a quick good-bye and go to the worship service.  Our staff will be sure to page you if your child’s crying does not subside after 15 minutes.  Feel free to check on your child at any time.  Just try to do so discreetly, so your child doesn’t see you.

Pick-up Procedures:

Our staff will expect the same person who dropped off your child to pick them up.  Please alert them if someone else will pick up your child.  Whoever picks up your child must provide the same numbered pager you were assigned at check-in.  This procedure is necessary for the safety of all our children.  Please ensure that all your child’s items have been returned to you before leaving.   Since we are a portable church, it is difficult to maintain a lost and found area.

God is Greater Than...

11/16/08 by Mark Lee

All knowing, all powerful God of the universe is bigger than anything we can describe. He’s bigger than my marriage. He’s bigger than my job. He’s bigger than the economy. We know that in our head, but our heart could use a reminder.
