Can a Group of People Doing Simple Acts of Kindness Change the Life of An Entire Community?

This is the question that pastors Mark and Tom started asking themselves before they started VantagePoint Church. Can someone receiving a free bottle of water or a free car wash change not only a person, but a community? We think so. After all, who doesn't like getting a free bottle of water on a hot Inland Empire day? Especially if it's from someone who's smiling, happy and having fun. Our desire is not to simply tell people about God's love, but to share that love with them in a tangible way. VantagePoint Church has been active in the Eastvale area by passing out water, washing cars, hauling away junk all and doing it all for free.

Our belief is that an act of kindness wins the heart before it challenges the mind. It nudges a person closer to God, often in a profound way. The typical reaction to someone who receives an act of kindness is - "Oh, thank you!" "This is so nice!" "I can't believe this is for free!" And, "Why are you doing this?"

Kindness builds the bridge for the person to receive a touch of love from God. It's simple, practical, effective, inexpensive and fun! We believe that small things done with great love really can change the world.
